STRUCTURAL ROUND TUBING

ASTM A500 pipes are known for their uniformity, consistent dimensions, and high-quality finish, making them reliable choices for structural applications in construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

ASTM A500 standard encompasses several grades, each with its own specific characteristics;

  1. Grade A: ASTM A500 Grade A is the most basic grade among the A500 series. It has a minimum yield strength of 39,000 psi (270 MPa) and minimum tensile strength of 45,000 psi (310 MPa). Grade A pipes are suitable for general structural applications and have relatively low strength requirements.

  2. Grade B: ASTM A500 Grade B has a higher yield strength and tensile strength compared to Grade A. It has a minimum yield strength of 46,000 psi (315 MPa) and minimum tensile strength of 58,000 psi (400 MPa). Grade B pipes are commonly used in structural applications requiring increased strength and load-bearing capacity.

  3. Grade C: ASTM A500 Grade C is the highest strength grade in the A500 series. It has a minimum yield strength of 50,000 psi (345 MPa) and minimum tensile strength of 62,000 psi (425 MPa). Grade C pipes are suitable for applications where higher strength and structural integrity are required, such as heavy-duty construction projects.

  4. Grade D: ASTM A500 Grade D is a specialized grade designed for piling applications. It has a minimum yield strength of 46,000 psi (315 MPa) and minimum tensile strength of 58,000 psi (400 MPa). Grade D pipes are commonly used for deep foundation piling, providing structural support in various soil conditions.
